Structure and framework
Structure and framework is made of Siporex (aerated concrete) and is the main building block of the frame and masonry of brick made kitchen. It can also be substituted with processed chipboard which is also very useful for construction. We must not forget to anchor the countertop as this will greatly reinforce the frame. We drill holes in the walls and screw in at least 150mm long screws. Half of the screw should be left outside and they should be about 20-30cm apart. If there is less space in between and therefore more screws it should not be a problem. The point is to hold countertop securely to the wall and that is why anchoring is necessary. At the countertop we must make a large hole for the sink. We must also measure the edge of the oven and make large enough hole for it. When the structure and framework is already made and built we can start working on electrical wiring and tiles. The wooden part is crucial for proper end result. Since the whole kitchen is covered in tiles it could quickly resemble a bathroom so drawers and cabinets are made of wood. Thus space and shape of the kitchen does not become monotonous but modern. In areas where we will have drawers and shelves we must make structure and framework for wooden frames so we can attach guides for drawers or shelves. If the cabinet has only drawers we can lay tiles inside the cabinet floors as well. Tile grooves should be small; I recommend 4 mm at most. Wider grooves tend to get more dirt inside and are consequently much harder to clean.
